Join Our Team!

Our lab is a welcoming and collaborative community of students, volunteers, and researchers working together to study and conserve cacti and agaves. We believe in flexibility and balance, respecting personal well-being, family, and career growth equally.

We welcome participants at all levels—from full-time graduate students leading projects in the lab, to collaborators who advise just a few hours a month, to remote bioinformatician volunteers contributing their skills from anywhere in the world. Whether you’re here to learn, contribute, or gain experience, we’re committed to supporting your growth.

Our strength lies in teamwork, not competition. We value open communication, shared knowledge, and mutual respect, ensuring that everyone feels valued and empowered.

If you're curious about science, conservation, plant genomics or bioinformatics, there’s a place for you here! Whether you're a garden volunteer wanting to learn more, a researcher with expertise in plant genomics or evolution, or a student exploring future career paths, we’d love to hear from you!
